As part of the commitment made in Sheridan’s Strategic Plan to provide a learning and working environment that values inclusiveness, a new survey is launching today focusing on issues related to gender and sexual diversity.
The first of its kind in Sheridan’s history, the Gender and Sexual Diversity Survey is the result of work by Sheridan’s Gender and Sexual Diversity Taskforce (GSDT). The GSDT is a voluntary advisory body at Sheridan comprised of members representing a diverse cross-section of our community including employees and students with specific attention to ensuring participation of persons with lived experienced within the LGBTQ+ communities.
The confidential, web-based survey will act as an information-gathering tool for the GSDT and a means to identify gaps that may exist related to initiatives in the areas of gender and sexual diversity. The results of the survey will help to inform and build upon our continued efforts to create an inclusive and respectful working and learning environment.
The survey is voluntary and is open to all Sheridan students and employees and will be available online from January 26 to February 2.
To access the survey, click here. A link to the survey will also be housed on the Access Sheridan home page.
