Beginning on Tuesday, March 3 at 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, IT staff will be testing a redundant wireless controller* to insure that wireless services would be available to the Sheridan community in the event that one of our primary controllers were to fail. During the 2-hour testing period, there will be intermittent outages to wireless services, across all campuses, as each of our primary controllers is disabled and the performance of the redundant device is assessed.
* A wireless controller is a hardware device used to manage wireless access points. Access points are physical devices that allow wireless devices to connect to the network.
