On Tuesday, February 17, 2015 the Student Recruitment Team held a Future Student and Family Information Session at the Hazel McCallion Campus, with 76 guests in attendance. The event for prospective students (both high school students and adult learners) and their families provided an opportunity to discover the available resources for informed decision-making.
Presenters included: Linda Dalton, Sheridan Registrar ; Heather Fawcett, Recruitment Manager; Darlene Charette, Simone Birthwright and Margaret Bawtinheimer, HMC Recruiters; Julia Tanski, Financial Aid and Wendy Kanko, Student Services.
In addition, Aleena Masood shared her experience as a current student in the BBA Marketing Management program at the Hazel McCallion Campus. Meika Yeo, a Sheridan alumnus and Account Executive at Cotton Candy Inc. described her adventures as an Advertising student at Trafalgar and as a member of the Ontario College Marketing Competition team.
Feedback from our guests was very positive with many indicating that this was an informative session and an excellent first step in their research into post-secondary options.
