Join us on Monday, March 23 from 6:30–9:00 p.m. at The Marquee (Student Union Pub) Trafalgar Campus in Oakville for the second talk in Sheridan’s Creative Campus Series. In a talk entitled Community Building: from the Montreal Canadiens to Parliament to the Future, Dryden will share lessons he has learned from his many walks of life about the role of the individual, one’s family and the community. He’ll also discuss the importance of creativity and usefulness.
The lecture is open to the public and seating is on a first come, first served basis. If you can’t make it to the event, it will be live-streamed on the Sheridan website and can be accessed here.
The lecture is also one installment in the Community Builder Series at the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies, a year-long series of events, speakers and documentary screenings with a focus on building better and healthier communities.
The culminating event in the Community Builder Series is the Community Builder Symposium being held on March 24 from 8:30 – 11:30 AM at the Den (Student Union Pub) Davis Campus. The Symposium features a morning of faculty and student led interactive Learning Cafés, Sharing Circles, Documentary Screenings, Theatre and Storytelling – representing the many calls to action developed over the past year.
The Community Builder Symposium on March 24 will also include an intimate conversation with Ken Dryden, moderated by Ralph Benmergui.
The Symposium on March 24 is open to students and employees in the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies. Please contact priya.ramesh@sheridancollege.ca to RSVP.
