Information for the Sheridan community regarding tuition fee changes

The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities announced Revisions to the College’s Binding Policy Directive and operating Procedure on Tuition and Ancillary Fees.

Sheridan’s Office of the Registrar and Finance department have worked closely to identify the timelines and communications needed to convey this new information to its stakeholders. A special presentation was made earlier to the Student Union to ensure their familiarization with the new Policy and Sheridan’s implementation plan.

Key decisions include:

  • a change to the OSAP disbursement dates
  • establishment of a non-refundable tuition deposit
  • deposit and subsequent tuition payments to be applied to outstanding tuition fees
  • application of a standardized formula used for international refunds

Edits have been made to the corporate webpages to reflect this new information for 2015-2016, and an FAQ list was created to assist prospective and current students, applicants, and the general public.
