This summer, two large-scale construction projects will be underway at our Davis Campus in Brampton – the creation of a new building for our Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship programs and the addition of a new bus loop for public transit.
To accommodate the heavy machinery and construction work required to build the bus loop, a portion of student lot P6 will be out of use this summer. Once the loop opens in September, all but 30 spaces will be reinstated.
A portion of student Lot 1 and Lot 2 will also be unavailable starting this summer and will remain out of use through August 2016 to accommodate construction equipment and work related to the new building for the Skilled Trades. Once the building opens, only 8 spaces will be permanently lost.
Arrangements have been made for construction workers to park off campus so as not to add further strain to our lots.
Individuals who normally drive to the Davis Campus may experience heavier than usual demands on parking. At times, this may result in the need to use our overflow parking lot. The overflow parking lot at Sheridan is accessible from the visitor parking lot, P3.
As construction progresses, work areas will be sectioned off with fencing, pylons and security tape. At times when roadwork is involved, access will be communicated with signage and flag operators on site.
