Two Sheridan teams made up of 16 employees managed to inch up the ranks at this year’s Annual Bus Pull for United Way on September 15. A special thanks to Sheridan IT team members who, as a new entry, pulled a very respectable 36.62 seconds (only 6 seconds behind 1st place and the fastest time ever for Sheridan) among the 20 participating teams. Sheridan won the SPIRIT award for our cheerleaders, the efforts of both teams, and Terry Kostiw and Raj Dhaliwal.
Now, we kindly ask the Sheridan community to pull together to make our Sheridan Silent Auction for United Way an even bigger success than last year. We are hoping you will all think about items/services/events/tours etc. that you might consider having included in this year’s auction. We are always looking for Leafs tickets as these are a hot ticket item – who knows what their season will look like this year! No donated item is too small or too large and adds to the “something for everyone” approach to this fun component of the campaign. One thing to remember is that any item with a time-sensitive aspect to it should take place after the close of the auction, which is November 25, 2015 at noon. Please, dig deep and let us know at unitedway@sheridancollege.ca if you find that must-have treasure to donate.
