Sheridan is excited to host its fourth Repair Café on October 20 in support of Waste Reduction Week in Canada. At the Repair Café, you can get help fixing your household item and learn from a volunteer fixer about how to do the repair yourself. We will have fixers for computers, electronics and small appliances, among others. Everyone is welcome and it is all free! You will meet new people while enjoying a cup of coffee.
As part of the Zero Waste program, the Repair Café fosters a culture of sustainability on campus and it encourages the sharing of repair skills and knowledge in our community. The Repair Café is part of a global movement that aims to reduce the waste that is sent to landfill and to change the throwaway mindset of our society. Sheridan is the first and only post-secondary institution hosting a Repair Café. You are invited to join this innovative initiative. Below are the details of the event.
Location: Trafalgar campus – SCAET, Main Entrance
Date and time: Tuesday, October 20, from 11 am to 1:30 pm
Cost: Free!
