As midterms and reading week are approaching, now is a key time to connect students with appropriate resources. You may notice students showing signs of academic difficulty and who may be in need of assistance. As part of supporting student development and success, Student Advisement welcomes your referrals. Student Advisement is a great starting point for all students where they can get their questions answered. We specialize in helping those who are struggling with their studies. We can work with students to: • Investigate why they are experiencing difficulties Our goal is to put students on the right track while there is still time to turn things around. We can also talk to them about their options to empower them to be successful at Sheridan. Please take a few minutes to remind students about our services and refer them to the Student Service Centre: Student Advisement works together with the Faculties and other service areas to support our students. If you have any questions about our services, please contact Joanne Islip, Coordinator, Student Advisement at joanne.islip@sheridancollege.ca (extension 2164) or visit Student Advisement. |
