A bit about Kevin:
Kevin has been in leadership roles within post secondary for over 20 years starting off with managing laboratories and teaching students to senior administrative roles. He has worked at three universities: University of Toronto, York University and at Queens University in Belfast.
Kevin’s most recent roles have included Chief Administrative Officer (Faculty of Architecture, Landscape) and the Global Cities Institute Research Centre at U of T. At York, his roles included Chief Administrator for the Division of Students and Chief Administrator for University Campus Services (Faculty of Science & Engineering). In these roles, Kevin was involved in leading teams that were responsible for providing enhancements to a variety of support services to students that included academic advising, teaching and training, retention, financial assistance, accessibility and accessibility services, mental health support, new student orientation & first year student transition, residence life and facilities.
Kevin spend 7.5 years in the York VP of Students Office where he had direct interaction with all stakeholders cross institution, including students, of course. He has been involved, extensively, in change projects. He brought integrated resource planning, to York, has worked on both expansion and restructuring projects, creating divisional plans and establishing metrics with unit directors. Kevin has a Bachelor of Science, A Master of Medical Science in Clinical Laboratory Medicine, and an Master of Business Administration.
Kevin has an obvious passion for students and student learning. He describes his leadership style as consultative and is very much looking forward to working at Sheridan.
