Sheridan is partnering with Halton Regional Police Services to conduct a Lockdown Drill and Emergency Response training exercise on Monday, November 25 between 9:00 and 9:30 am at the Trafalgar Campus. The drill will take place in the SCAET building and will encompass all floors. Other areas of the campus will not be affected.
This exercise will feature a simulation involving a shooter on campus. A number of Sheridan’s Music Theatre students will be participating in the simulation as potential victims. The sound of gunfire will be heard in the course of this simulated exercise. Halton Police will be ‘responding’ to the call of a shooter on campus, and will be acting accordingly. Students or staff who they encounter in the hallways of SCAET will be challenged and/or advised to seek shelter.
If you have questions or concerns regarding this simulated exercise, you’re invited to attend one of two Q&A sessions taking place:
Monday Nov 18 3pm-4pm S235, Trafalgar Campus
Tuesday Nov 19 3pm-4pm J102, Trafalgar Campus
