Sheridan’s Furniture Studio has recently installed a wood briquetting machine that converts wood shavings and saw dust into wood briquettes. This new machine has replaced the old dust collector to eliminate any ambient dust generated during the collection and compaction process.
The briquettes are in a cylindrical shape, and each is about 6 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height. These wood pellets are much easier to collect and transport than sawdust. They are made up of mainly clean wood material, which is a good source of heating fuel for homes that have enclosed wood stoves in an indoor setting. They can also be used for outdoor open fireplaces.
The Furniture Studio is now giving them away to any Sheridan employees who are interested. For more information, please contact Robert or Peter at the Furniture Studio directly via email (see below). Each recipient will be required to sign a waiver as well as bring a rigid cardboard container.
