I am pleased to announce that Cindy Gillett will be assuming the role and responsibility of Acting Dean, Applied Undergraduate Research until such time that a permanent incumbent is selected through the recruitment process. In this role, Cindy will be overseeing the business and process aspects for SURe, and will be providing support for the SURe team in their functions. Cindy will also be working with Mardy Fraser and the Scholarship, Research and Creative Activities (SRCA) team to ensure a strong link between the our SRCA direction and applied research.
Since 2009, Cindy has been an Associate Dean with the Pilon School of Business. During her time with PSB, Cindy has led numerous initiatives relating to program review and development, curriculum development, faculty development, and applied research. She has acted as the Chair of the Pilon School of Business’s Applied Research Committee for the past two years, working with faculty members to advance applied research and scholarly activities within the school.
Cindy assumed the Acting Dean role effective December 1, 2015. Please join me in welcoming Cindy to the Sheridan Undergraduate Research team.
The recruitment process for the full-time position will commence early in the new year.
