I am pleased to announce that Anne-Liisa Longmore has accepted a secondment position as Acting Associate Dean within the Pilon School of Business, replacing Cindy Gillett, effective December 7th, 2015.
Anne-Liisa joined Sheridan’s Pilon School of Business (PSB) in the fall of 2006. During the last past nine years, she has taught in the Marketing and Advertising suite of programs, developed curriculum, has been a student advisor, and has lead our first year of BBA deployment activities as BBA Coordinator. Anne-Liisa has also worked on faculty committees and facilitated faculty development and learning within both the PSB and with the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Sheridan.
Prior to joining Sheridan, Anne-Liisa held progressively senior management and leadership positions in diverse industries, working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams in new program and market development and strategic business initiatives, as well as facilitating organizational change.
Anne-Liisa earned her Doctor of Education, Workplace and Adult Learning Specialization, with the University of Calgary’s Werklund School of Education in 2014. During her studies, and beyond, Anne-Liisa successfully pursued her research interests in learning, innovation, and change in organizations, transformational learning, higher education, spirituality in the workplace.
Anne-Liisa’s experience in teaching, accompanied by her professional and educational credentials, provide her with the ideal breadth and skill dimensions to assume the duties of Acting Associate Dean.
