A big thank you to everyone who generously supported Sheridan’s Mitten Trees and Holiday Toy Drive in December!
Together, the Trafalgar and HMC campuses and the Skills Training Centre collected 59 pairs of mittens/gloves, 59 hats, 3 scarves, 3 headbands/earmuffs, and 4 pairs of socks. These will be donated to Kerr Street Ministries of Oakville.
The Davis campus collected 11 hats, 55 pairs of mittens, 3 scarves, 4 tooth brushes, 2 packs of socks, a headband and a sock monkey, which will be donated to the Family Life Resource Centre of the Salvation Army in Brampton.
We also collected over 180 toys across all three campuses for the children in our communities this holiday season. The toys were donated to the Peel and Halton Regional Police Toys for Tots fundraisers.
The Sheridan community’s generosity spread past the toy drive. The STC campus worked with the Salvation Army to set up a Kettle Bell collection in the main hallway on Friday, December 18th, and accepted donations during their campus potluck lunch. They collected $350 in just 1 ½ hours!
