A question in your class could lead to many questions at Student Advisement

As we approach the halfway point in the term, new students and returning students alike are beginning to feel the stress related to assessments and their respective deadlines.  Grades are forefront on their minds. We’re advising them to check SLATE regularly to see how they are performing in their courses.  If a student asks how they are doing in your class, it likely means they have many more questions in mind, such as:

  • How do these grades affect: next term? my co-op?  my placement?  my funding?  my graduation?  my university applications?
  • Where can I get help?
  • Which courses will be offered in the summer term?
  • What do I do if I’m failing a class?

Let’s work together to help students avoid mistakes and keep them on course.

April 1st is the deadline to drop courses without academic penalty.  With our collaborative efforts, let’s ensure our students are aware of their options so they can successfully complete their journey through the Sheridan academic experience.
