To coincide with the launch date of Sheridan’s official Records and Information Management Policy, the Department of Records and Information Management (RIM), in association with the Centre for People and Organizational Development (CPOD) and the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), has developed a mandatory training program which covers all aspects of Records, Information Management and Privacy.
This training program will give you all of the information you need to make the best choices for how you and your team manage records, information, and privacy in your business unit. Not only will this improve efficiency, but it will also protect the institution AND individual employees from risks associated with poor information management practices.
The training itself runs approximately 35 – 45 minutes and can be accessed through your employee login in SLATE. We recognize that you are all very busy and that asking you to take time out of your day can be difficult. For this reason, we have allocated a full 6-month window between now and when all current Sheridan employees will need to have the mandatory training completed. In future, this training will be included in the orientation package for all new employees.
Stay tuned for some additional training tools, FAQs, and some interactive information sessions that will occur at all three of our main Sheridan campuses.
