Screen Industries Research and Training (SIRT) Centre Director John Helliker will be presenting at ACCT Innovation 2013 in Toronto on Thursday, December 5 on a panel entitled “College Innovation Partnering Models“.

College partnering models are changing and maturing in exciting ways. Multi-million dollar, high-profile projects are emerging and three-way partnering (college-university-business) is now receiving increased support. NSERC’s College Community Innovation Program supports three-way partnerships and sees them as having great potential to strengthen Canada’s innovation system.

This session will focus on best practices and tips from colleges which have successfully formed and operated complex partnerships, as well as what NSERC’s College Community Innovation Program sees as key to success for a three-way partnership.

Moderator:

Karen Zavitz, Consultant, formerly Managing Director, OPIC, UOIT

Panel Members:

Ray Hoemsen, Director, Applied Research and Commercialization, Red River College

John Helliker, Director, Screen Industries Research and Training Centre, Sheridan College/Pinewood Toronto Studios
