It is with deep regret that I inform you that John Ambrosio has tendered his resignation from the position of Specialist, Occupational Health and Safety Services in order to pursue other interests. His last day at Sheridan will be April 28, 2016.

In his time here, John has been instrumental in developing programs and practices that have enhanced and established safety standards at Sheridan. The most tangible examples are his initiatives that brought the OHS Online Learning modules to light thus providing a cornerstone in building the OHS Management Program. His positive relationships with our Joint Health and Safety Committees has facilitated dialogue from the table and the inspection tablets to hazard reduction activities and safer campuses. His work, in a very real and significant way, has helped to reduce the frequency of workplace accidents at Sheridan. For this, I am truly grateful for his time here.

However, I will miss the daily exchange of ideas, information and counsel John has provided as well as his desert-dry sense of humour. I hope you will join me in wishing John good health and good luck in his future endeavours.

George Georgopoulos, OHS Services
