It is with mixed emotions that I announce the retirement of Nancy Riddell, Coordinator of Administrative Services in the Centre for Teaching and Learning.

Nancy has been a valued employee of Sheridan for over 27 years. Having started with Sheridan in the Research and Development department, and taking on many different roles throughout her career, Nancy is a valued treasure of institutional memory. In her current position Nancy plays a key role in supporting the work of the curriculum development and program review teams. She is an MS Word guru, who relishes the challenges many shy away from – designing and formatting complex documents, detail work and proofreading. But Nancy is not all work and no play. She is a talented baker and knitter, and is generous about sharing both talents with her very lucky colleagues.

What started off 27 years ago as a position to re-enter the workforce after graduating from Sheridan’s Skills for Today’s Office program at the Queen Elizabeth campus has turned into a long career at Sheridan and we have all benefitted from Nancy’s dedication to quality in all she does.

Please join the CTL team in wishing Nancy a happy and healthy retirement. Feel free drop by CTL in S415 at Trafalgar to wish her well – her last day is May 31.

Elaine Ursel

Acting Associate Dean, Curriculum Development
