It is my pleasure to announce and welcome Zahrah Diyaljee-Audit to Sheridan as the Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator, beginning July 25, 2016.
Zahrah brings a depth of health and safety experience from the manufacturing sector from her time at Bombardier where she conducted risk assessments, incident investigations and participated in the Joint Health and Safety Committee, amongst many other duties, in a demanding and frequently changing work environment. Zahrah has also spent several years in the construction sector on the health, safety and environmental compliance capacity where she was not only the lead in investigations and risk analysis but also provided and maintained the central source for all health and safety training programs.
Zahrah is an honours B.A.Sc. graduate of Ryerson’s Occupational and Public Health program as well as holding a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a Sociology minor from the University of Alberta.
Zahrah will spend several weeks in an onboarding process where we will introduce her to the Sheridan community and familiarize her with all our campuses, polices, practices and required training. After this period, Zahrah will be based out of our Davis campus and provide day-to-day Occupational Health and Safety support to the Brampton campus.
Welcome aboard, Zahrah!
