The Welcome Back event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 8:00 am to 10:30 am.
As a reminder, no additional compensation will be provided for this event for full-time employees since it is held within regular office hours.
For part-time (PT) employees, there are three scenarios that may apply:
• All PT employees who are not permanently scheduled to work on Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 10:30 am should complete a yellow payroll form which will be distributed at the end of the event. To be paid for this time, the employee must complete the form, have their Manager authorize the form, and forward it to the Payroll department (Trafalgar B309) for processing. Do not include these hours on your regular timesheet submission.
• For PT staff who are permanently scheduled to work on Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 10:30 am, no form is required. These employees will be paid as regularly scheduled. These staff who do not attend the event are expected to report to work as the College will be open.
• PT employees without a current contract or for new contracts that have not yet been received by the payroll department; please complete the yellow payroll form which will be distributed at the end of the event. To be paid for this time, the employee must complete the form, have their Manager authorize the form, and forward it to the Payroll department (Trafalgar B309) for processing. This time will be paid at the hourly rate listed on the employee’s most recent employment relationship with the College.
If you are a PT employee, please remember to pick up a yellow payroll form before leaving the Welcome Back event. Payroll representatives will be distributing these forms at all the exits.
