Join us this Wednesday August 31, 2016 from 8:00 – 10:30 a.m. for a celebration to kick off the 2016/17 academic year! Weather contingencies are in place. The event will proceed rain or shine.
This year’s Welcome Back event will take place at the Trafalgar Campus Athletics Stadium. Get ready and get comfortable for an indoor/outdoor event open to all employees and features breakfast, entertainment and a few surprises!
In support of Sheridan’s commitment to fostering a culture of sustainability, employees that choose to take advantage of the complimentary bus service will receive a small token of appreciation. You are also encouraged to bring a re-usable beverage container to support our Zero Waste Campus initiative.
Please bring your OneCard – it will serve as a ticket to be entered in a draw for a number of great prizes. Also, make sure to participate in the lanyard trade in – trade in your old tangram-branded lanyard for one with the new Sheridan brand when you swipe your Onecard. All old lanyards will be recycled.
Complimentary bus service has been arranged according to the following schedule:
- Davis Campus (Main Entrance) – Departing at 7:30 a.m. sharp
- HMC (South entrance) – Departing at 7:30 a.m. sharp
The timeline for the event is as follows:
- Breakfast begins at 8 a.m.
- Presentations begin at 8:45 a.m.
- The event concludes at approximately 10:35 a.m (corrected time)
- Buses will be on site at Trafalgar to take you back to campus immediately following the event.
- Campus services re-open at 11 a.m.
While the college’s buildings will remain open, arrangements have been made to close services to students and other constituents in order to allow staff to attend the event. Regular services for students will reopen at 11 a.m.
