On Tuesday September 20th, 2016, Sheridan Police Foundations students attended Peel Regional Police Candlelight Vigil Run. This 6km run honours the six members of the Peel Regional Police who lost their lives while serving their community.
On Wednesday September 21st, 2016, Sheridan College hosted the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for an information session. Approximately 60 students from Public Safety and the local community attended the informative recruitment session.
On Thursday September 22nd, 2016, Sheridan Police Foundations students attended the opening ceremonies of the National Peace Officers Memorial Run held at Queen’s Park. Sheridan students ran the first leg of the 460km run to Ottawa to honour the brave law enforcement officers that have fallen in the line of duty.
On Saturday September 24th, 2016, Sheridan Police Foundations students attended the Ontario Provincial Police Burlington Detachment and participated in the 5kmCollege Run Challenge in support of Victim Services. Sheridan students came first overall prevailing over students from Mohawk and Humber College.
