We are pleased to report the Get Creative fundraising campaign in support of the HMC expansion and international student scholarships, is 86 % of the way to the $9M goal thanks to the generous contributions of our donors. Apart from the campaign, donors have continued to invest in Sheridan. Here are some recent highlights.

ESC Automation (formerly Delta Controls) with its recent gift of $700,000 has contributed to both the Get Creative Campaign and provided in-kind support for the Davis Campus C-Wing Integrated Energy and Climate Master Plan (IECMP) retrofit. ESC has played a pivotal role in helping to develop the HMC expansion as a highly efficient and intelligent building.

The Sheridan Student Union (SSU) has contributed a significant $500,000 gift to the campaign. This investment matches a donation made by Sheridan Alumni in support of HMC. The SSU gift recognizes the commitment of past and present student to help future generations of Sheridan students and signals the shared alignment between the SSU and Sheridan on this and other key priorities.

Scotiabank’s gift of $100,000 in support of international student scholarships will enable international business students to access the kind of education that can enrich their lives and the world around them. International scholarships help bridge that gap for students that have already demonstrated great potential through academic success in their home countries.

Frank Prosia (’81), Founder of Transpro Freight Systems Ltd. and a graduate of Sheridan’s Business Administration program, has donated $75,000 to the campaign. As an alumnus and member of Sheridan’s Business Hall of Fame, Prosia is dedicated to Sheridan and recognizes the value the HMC expansion will bring to both the institution and the community of Mississauga.

On our journey to become Sheridan University, we continue to continue to offer a diverse range of degree, diploma and certificate programs with pathways for students to move between credentials. The CIBC gift of $50,000 acknowledges the importance of Sheridan’s focus on pathways that will improve transferability and mobility for students to keep them responsive to an ever-changing labour market.

TD Bank Group’s recent gift of $125,000 is an investment in the Creative Campus Series and signals their strong belief in supporting creativity at Sheridan. Bringing together distinguished thought leaders from interdisciplinary fields, the series is designed to spark creativity and curiosity from both the Sheridan and external communities. With TD’s assistance, the series will continue to host high caliber speakers.

Lev Bukhman, founder and CEO of Studentcare, Sheridan’s provider of our student health and dental plan, has made a generous $40,000 contribution to the Sheridan Student Union.
