Come From Away, originally produced and developed by Sheridan’s Canadian Music Theatre Project and Michael Rubinoff, opens on Broadway in Spring 2017. Before it lands in New York, it will debut at Mirvish Productions in Toronto. In honour of Sheridan’s involvement with the musical, Tuesday, November 22, 2016 has been designated Sheridan Night. Purchase your tickets now to be part of the celebration, taking place at the Royal Alexandria Theatre in Toronto.

Come From Away is based on the true story of how in a heartbeat, 38 planes with 6,579 passengers were stranded in the remote town of Gander, Newfoundland during 9/11. The locals opened their hearts and homes, hosting this international community of strangers for a week – spurring unexpected camaraderie in extraordinary circumstances. When the world stopped, their stories moved us all.  Read more about the special benefit concert that recently took place in Gander and brought the musical to this very special community, at Curiosities.

The Canadian Music Theatre Project was introduced at Sheridan College in 2011 and is Canada’s first incubator for the development of new musical theatre works by Canadian and international composers, lyricists and book-writers.

Regular Ticket – $115.00 Enjoy great seats and a $27.50 tax receipt.

Please contact Beth Coughlan at 905-815-4110 or beth.coughlan@sheridancollege.ca.
