As part of our goal to help create and sustain safe, vibrant and healthy communities, current and former police foundations students from the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies (FAHCS) helped to deliver approximately 3000 Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund gift boxes this past weekend. These boxes are specifically donated to families who are struggling financially and have children between the ages of newborn to 12. FAHCS’ participation in this event was spear headed by police foundations faculty member Tony Bailey who coordinated the sorting and organizing of these boxes with our student “elves” on Friday night and then arranged for delivery to families in the Greater Toronto Area on Saturday and Sunday. We’d like to extend to Tony and our police foundations students and alumni our sincerest appreciation for their time and efforts to not only represent Sheridan in this important initiative, but to also show us all the true meaning of the holiday season.
