Occupational Health and Safety Services is pleased to inform Sheridan College employees that dedicated First Aid rooms are now present at the Davis and Trafalgar campuses. Certified Security personnel are available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week to provide first aid not only for employees but for students and visitors as well. For ease and convenience, these First Aid Rooms are located within Security office spaces at both campuses. At our Davis campus, the First Aid Room can be found within C216. At Trafalgar, it is located at the Security office on the first floor of B-wing. At our Hazel McCallion campus (HMC), the First Aid Room will be located in phase 2. In the interim, the Student Health Centre at HMC has been offering space for Security and First Aiders to tend to an employee as required and space allows. The First Aid room at STC is located at A16a. To clarify, the Campus Health Centres at all campuses are not intended for emergency response.
In addition to First Aid rooms on campus, a team of Designated First Aiders are available at each campus. A list of our current First Aiders and their locations can be found here;
For employees, if you feel unwell or suffer an injury while at work, seek first aid and inform your Manager as soon as possible. If you are unable to reach the First Aid Room, contact Security who will attend to you at your location. You may, where you feel necessary, seek evaluation and/or treatment outside of campus including contacting emergency services.
