Facilities Services & Sustainability (FSS) and the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology (FAST) are pleased to announce the launch of a partnership that pairs considerable subject-matter expertise in FAST with FSS’ first-hand experiences in energy efficiency and strategic energy management. The collaboration will yield new curricula, training modules and learning materials for our students and community.
Through initiatives such as the Integrated Energy and Climate Master Plan, Sheridan has gained a significant reputation among public sector organizations in North America as a trend-setter in strategic energy management. Through this partnership, Sheridan will be creating pathways to share what we have learned with others wishing to embark on energy programs of their own.
Within Sheridan, the partnership creates opportunities for Sheridan’s academic and operations staff to work collaboratively to engage students in projects and activities that extend beyond our traditional campus boundaries.
The partnership formally commences on April 1, 2017, when Chris Beaver, Jonalyn Sagisi and Dave Clark will move from FAST to the Office for Sustainability to shape this new venture.
