Please join me in congratulating our colleague Dr. James Humphreys (Dean, Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies), who has accepted the position of Executive Dean, Health and Life Sciences and Community Services at Conestoga College beginning on May 1, 2017.
While James will be greatly missed by both students and colleagues, he will be remembered for his commitment to the student experience, his dedication to quality programming, and his calm, compassionate and thoughtful approach. James’ unique combination of teaching, management and leadership experience combined with his interpersonal skills has enabled him to be actively engaged with the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies community.
James shared with me that he feels both honoured and fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside and collaborate with dedicated, passionate, hard-working and motivated colleagues at Sheridan. Quoting James, “the character of Sheridan is the people, where importance is placed on relationships, collegiality and putting people first”.
In the upcoming weeks, we will start the recruitment process for the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies. James’ last day at Sheridan will be Friday, April 28, 2017.
Please join me in extending best wishes to James in his new position.
