Sheridan’s Sustainability Coordinator and Repair Café co-founder Wai Chu Cheng is featured in the April issue of Canadian Living. The article, titled ‘The Green Party,’ names Wai Chu as one of 10 Canadians who work to make the world a cleaner, greener place. The article notes that through the Repair Café events she organizes, more than 2,600 items have been diverted from the landfill. Through her work she aims to build a culture of reduce, reuse, recycle and repair. She says: “By fixing things rather than replacing them so easily, we can be a change agent. And we can all influence others by sharing our time with people in the community who need help.”
Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition Wai Chu!
