HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING (April 11-23), MacDonald-Heaslip Hall
Follow the rise of window-washer J. Pierrepont Finch, in his hilarious journey to chairman of the board at the World Wide Wicket Company, a ridiculous company where no one really knows what anyone else is doing. But when Finch meets his true love Rosemary, art mixes with business creating a combustible parody of the workings and morals of the business world and all the quirky characters in it.

– Directed by Sheila McCarthy, Choreographed by Julie Tomaino
SENZA LUCE (APRIL 13-23), Studio Theatre
Commissioned by The Canadian Musical Theatre Project and workshopped here at Sheridan in 2015, we are pleased to present a full stage production of this magical musical.
This musical fable tells the story of Senza Luce, a village deep in the mountains of Northern Italy. Hidden from the outside world and shadowed over by the towering peaks of the Italian Alps, the villagers of Senza Luce have lived in perpetual darkness for centuries, never knowing sunlight. When one forward thinking youth devises a brilliant way to bring light to their darkened lives, the village and its citizens are thrown into turmoil.

RUMSPRINGA BREAK! AN AM-ISH MUSICAL (April 30, 3pm & 8pm), Theatre Passe Muraille, Toronto
Sheridan College is proud to announce the start of Off-Sheridan, an initiative that will present concerts, staged readings and productions at venues in Toronto and the GTA. The inaugural presentation, Rumspringa Break! An Am-ish Musical, was originally developed at Sheridan’s Canadian Music Theatre Project in 2016. The two-act reading of this heartwarming show will take place at Theatre Passe Muraille on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and features members of the graduating class of Sheridan’s Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance Program who helped bring the musical to life last year.
When Amish twins Hannah and Ruth leave the comfort of their strict, sheltered community to explore the outside world for the first time, things don’t go as planned. Desperate, penniless, and stranded in the big city’s roughest neighbourhood, the naïve sisters must rely on their faith, the outlandish locals, and each other to survive. As chaos and hilarity ensue, their faith and their relationship are tested.
– Book by Matt Murray, Music by Colleen Dauncey, Lyrics by Akiva Romer-Segal
– Directed by Steven Gallagher
