On June 5, 6, 7 and 8th Sheridan will host this year’s Convocation at The Living Arts Centre in Mississauga.  Ten ceremonies will be held throughout the four day event.  We are asking Support and Administrative staff who are not already involved in Convocation to support this event as we celebrate the hard work and dedication of our students and recognize the impact that Sheridan has on shaping their future. Greeters will be asked to welcome graduates and their family and friends, direct guests to their level of seating and assist event staff where needed.

Greeter details:

  • Greeters are asked to arrive at the Living Arts Centre 1 hour prior to the assigned ceremony and remain 30 minutes into the ceremony.
  • Greeters will be provided with a Convocation gown
  • Greeters working two or more ceremonies in one day will be provided with a pre-arranged lunch or dinner at HMC.
  • Greeters will be reimbursed for their mileage
  • Greeters working an evening ceremony will be paid through the Convocation budget

Please see below for Ceremony dates and times.

Please make an effort to participate at Convocation.  Your support of your schools, their graduating students and their families is greatly appreciated.  Please contact Shelley Barr, Special Event Services Coordinator, Conference & Event Services at Shelley.barr@sheridancollege.ca outlining your availability, as soon as possible  If you are offering to work more than one ceremony, please list your dates and times in order of preference. Once all time slots have been confirmed, a volunteer schedule will be sent to you with further information on the Role of the Greeter at Convocation.
