First Year Connections (FYC) is hiring! Do you have a Sheridan student looking for a summer job? Do they show strong leadership skills? Are they looking to help first year students transition into Sheridan? If yes, please let them know about a great opportunity to work with other student leaders in this dynamic and rewarding Peer Mentor role!
Student Advisement Peer Mentors assist students with their academic and social transition to college by providing consistent, timely and accurate information. They also facilitate our First Year Connections program which connects Peer Mentors to all first year students by phone, email and in person. This position starts with a summer phone campaign to new students, welcoming them to Sheridan and answering any questions they may have. FYC Peer Mentors continue with Student Advisement throughout the academic year, supporting with various roles and activities.
Student Advisement (located in the Student Services Centre) is accepting applications. If students have questions regarding the First Year Connections position, please have them contact the program supervisor at their respective campus. Applications can also be picked up at the Student Services Centre: Davis – Rm B230, HMC – at the Welcome Desk, or Trafalgar – Rm B104
