For many years now, Sheridan has conducted an annual United Way campaign under the leadership of a dedicated team of employee volunteers. This year, we have decided to ‘press pause’ while we take the time to review and consider our philanthropic goals as an organization, while also providing our volunteers with a respite from the demands of running an internal campaign.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank the members of Sheridan’s United Way committee for their sustained and generous commitment to this fundraising cause over the past several years. I also want to acknowledge the generosity of the broader Sheridan community in lending its support to past campaigns, be it through spaghetti lunches, donating to or participating in on-line auctions, or signing up for a payroll deduction*.
You are encouraged to continue to contribute to the United Way, or charitable organizations of your choice, in ways that make the most sense to you. I will report back to you as our philanthropic direction takes shape in the coming months.
