More than 1,500 new international students will join Sheridan this Fall. To welcome the students to Canada and to their new home, Sheridan’s International Centre will be hosting its inaugural International Welcome Festival: A Celebration for New International Students on Saturday, September 9th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Peace Garden, Davis Campus.
New International students from all three of Sheridan’s campuses, staff and faculty, along with Brampton’s mayor Linda Jeffrey and other dignitaries will join in for a day of festivities including various cultural performances, fun activities, and food.
“International students are an important and significant part of Sheridan;”, said A. Michael Allcott, PhD, Dean, International, “the Festival will not only be a warm welcome to Canada, but also a chance to feel what Sheridan creative can mean!”
The event will be open to all new international students and complimentary bus transportation will be provided for international students from Hazel McCallion Campus and Trafalgar Campus.
International students are encouraged to register for the event to be entered into a draw for prizes.
