On September 9th, 2017, International Centre hosted the inaugural International Welcome Festival in celebration of the arrival of more than 2,000 international students.
“For people who travel a long way to join us here at Sheridan, a gesture of welcome means a great deal. Likewise, meeting the people who can support them, as well as the opportunity to form friendships with fellow students, both international and Canadian, is key to success not only in their studies, but in finding their way in their new home. My thanks to all in the Sheridan community who made this a memorable day for new students!”, said A. Michael Allcott, PhD, Dean, International.
The International Centre would like to thank Sheridan’s leadership, faculty, staff, community members and students who made this event a tremendous success. Over 500 international students from all three campuses took part in the welcome celebration in their honour which included symbolic release of white doves, cultural performances, and dancing.
