I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Kwon as Manager, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Services effective immediately.
Kelly joined Sheridan in 2013 as Occupational Health and Safety Specialist. During this time Kelly has created several OHS programs to further our goal of developing a culture of safety at Sheridan. Kelly’s notable achievements included the development of the Asbestos Management Program and the development and ongoing management of Sheridan’s Biosafety Program.
Prior to joining Sheridan, Kelly worked for the Toronto Catholic District School Board and the Ministry of Labour in a series of progressive roles in the field of OHS.
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Health and Safety and her Canadian Registered Safety Professional Designation. Kelly is currently working toward her Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources through the University of Toronto. Additionally, Kelly’s commitment to lifelong learning has led her to complete additional certification and training in Ergonomics, Emergency Management, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification.
