The Repair Café will be in Brampton on November 4, 2017! Sheridan is collaborating with Brampton Library and Brampton MakerSpace to offer the event at the Chinguacousy Library Branch from from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library is located at 150 Central Park Drive (in the Civic Centre).
This is the perfect opportunity for people to visit the library to get their broken household items fixed. You can receive help from our volunteer fixers on repairing different household items, including small appliances, clothes, toys, laptops and electronic devices. Our volunteer fixers will sit with you one on one and walk you through the repair process. This is a free event. Everyone is welcome to attend. Feel free to stop by even if you don’t have any item to fix!
Our Sheridan student, Alvin, is one of our dedicated fixers who is skilled at repairing laptop computers. He recently volunteered at a Repair Café held at the Albion Toronto Library. In the video below, he talks about how he diagnosed the problems and why he was determined to get them fixed.

We hope you can join us to reduce the number of things sent to the landfill by fixing reusable items on November 4! To avoid lineups, please arrive early. Registration closes at 2 p.m.
Our last Café in Brampton was a great success. It was held at Four Corners Library in March. Below are some photos taken during the event.
We are still looking for volunteer fixers. If you are skilled at repairing things and enjoy helping others learn how to do the repair, we would like to invite you to join our Fixer team! To sign up as a fixer, please go to our Mission Zero website by clicking here.
