The Sheridan Bruins men’s rugby team will play for the provincial crown for the first time in team history next weekend, and even better, it will be on home turf, as they will host the St. Lawrence Vikings in the OCAA Championship game on Nov. 12 (12pm) at Sheridan Stadium on the Trafalgar Campus.
Admission is free and there will also be a free BBQ. Wear your finest Double-Blue and come cheer your Bruins towards a championship!
The Bruins advanced to play for the title after holding off Fleming 22-19 in the semi final Saturday.
St. Lawrence (6-1) booked their spot in the final by pulling off their own upset of a Division champion, downing Georgian 28-24.
The Double-Blue are enjoying by far the best season in the six year history of the program.
Prior to this season they had never finished higher than fourth in the west division, and had not qualified for the playoffs.
On their way to posting five wins and one loss in the regular season, they re-wrote just about every team record.
