Staffing Announcement: Indigenous Healing and Wellness Knowledge Keeper

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Eddy Robinson as the new Indigenous Healing and Wellness Knowledge Keeper in the Centre for Indigenous Learning and Support. Eddy will be primarily located at the Trafalgar campus 24 hours/week.

Eddy earned a Masters of Education from York University with a focus on Urban Indigenous Education and a graduate diploma in Urban Environments.  He has worked and advocated for Indigenous communities locally, provincially and nationally for over 25 years. Eddy has traveled throughout North America as a noted Anishinaabe (Ojibway) artist, teacher, musician, educator, facilitator, trainer, writer and keynote speaker. He has presented to numerous First Nations, Indigenous communities, local district school boards, colleges, universities, corporate institutions as well as several Indigenous and non-Indigenous not for profit organizations.

As a writer, Eddy has contributed to Toronto Life Magazine, VICE, Truth and Lies – What People are Really Thinking by Mark Bowden, Tracey Thomson as well as coauthored “Spirit Bear and Children Make History” with nationally recognized Indigenous child rights activist Cindy Blackstock.
