Please be advised that there are currently malicious voicemail emails in circulation. If you receive an unexpected voicemail email, the email could have a malicious link or attachment. Always exercise caution when receiving unsolicited or unexpected emails. Avoid following links and opening attachments. Go with your gut. If an email seems fishy, it probably is. Top 5 Ways to Spot Legitimate Sheridan Voicemail Email Messages:
- All Sheridan voicemail email file attachments are named: VoiceMessage.wav;
- All Sheridan messages are addressed to you: userid@unityconn-pri.sheridanc.on.ca;
- External calls always come from: unityconnection@unityconn-pri.sheridanc.on.ca;
- External calls contain the external telephone number in the subject line; and,
- Most of all, if the voicemail email you’ve received is missing these elements it’s not from the Sheridan voicemail system and likely fake.
