I am pleased to announce that Jon Jones, presently an Associate Dean in the Faculty of Business, will be seconded effective April 1, 2014, for the next two years to serve as Director, Academic Campus Planning. He will assume oversight of academic program moves and possible expansion of activities in the downtown Brampton area. Jon will continue to serve as the Campus Principal for HMC while assuming his new responsibilities.
As Director of Academic Campus Planning, Jon will report to Bill Holmes, Vice Provost. He will be responsible for coordinating academic program moves associated with the opening of HMC2 and with the Program Mix 2020 Plan. In this capacity, he will work closely with the Deans and Associate Deans and will collaborate with such individuals as Andre Plante, Associate Vice President of Corporate Planning, and Christine Szustaczek, Director of Corporate Communications and External Relations.
Sylvia Lowndes, Dean of the Faculty of Business, will be initiating a search for an Acting Associate Dean to assume Jon’s present responsibilities within the Faculty.
