Background:
Launched in 1988 at the Exploratorium in San Francisco, the date March 14 is an ode to the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter which is 3.14. March 14 represents the 3rd month, 14th day, hence the connection.
New this year is the film viewing of “The Man Who Knew Infinity”. This film is based on the life and academic career of the genius mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, and his friendship with his mentor, Professor G.H Hardy. The film will be shown in room C224, Davis campus, 1-3 pm.
So come out and enjoy free pie, learn about top STEM careers, discover campus services, and answer skill testing questions!
