On Monday, February 24, Davis Campus hosted the Second Annual Ontario Provincial Police Symposium. The event was filled to capacity with over 110 students participating. The symposium provided information on front-line policing and other career opportunities available with the O.P.P.
The morning included Physical Fitness Testing, Defensive Tactics and, a Healthy Lifestyle/ Recruiting workshop. During the afternoon, students rotated through mentoring sessions led by Senior Officers, Tactical Officers, Constables new to the career, and Auxiliary/Special Constables.
The symposium was a tremendous success! Thank-you to Associate Dean, Kathryn Cameron, for supporting this event and Sgt. Gadgson of the O.P.P. Recruiting Bureau who worked collaboratively with faculty members, Jessica McLean and Tanya Philp, to make this event possible.
