Sheridan will mark Pride month from Wednesday, June 13 to Wednesday, July 11, 2018. A number of activities have been planned, including library displays, contests and more.
Our celebrations will begin with a flag raising ceremony:
Date: Wednesday June 13
Time: 12:00 pm
Location: Davis Campus, outside B-Wing. The ceremony will be shared via Facebook Live at both HMC and Trafalgar Road Campus.
If you have questions about the accessibility of this event or if you need to request accommodations in order to participate please contact equity@sheridancollege.ca or call ext 2777.
For the duration of the month-long period, the Pride flag will be flown at all Sheridan campuses — on outdoor flag poles at Trafalgar and Davis and on the digital sign at HMC. These dates were chosen to purposely coincide with different festivities occurring in our home communities throughout June and July. By bridging the two months, we will also enable all faculty – whether they are away from Sheridan in May and June or in July and August, to be part of our celebrations.
This year’s events have been planned by an organizing committee with representatives from The Centre for Equity and Inclusion, Sheridan Student Union, OPSEU local 244, OPSEU local 245, International Office, Student Affairs and Communications, Public Affairs and Marketing.
