We are very happy to announce that Jon Mason has accepted the position of Manager, Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance at Sheridan.
In this role, Jon will be building, centralizing and overseeing an enterprise risk management framework for Sheridan. Jon will be working with stakeholders throughout Sheridan to identify risks to Sheridan strategies and business plans and will be recommending risk management systems, tools and monitoring mechanisms. Jon will also provide oversight of Sheridan’s insurance portfolio, including the filing and management of high dollar value claims.
Jon comes to Sheridan from Metrolinx, where he established an enterprise risk management framework for PRESTO. Previous to this, he was the risk and insurance analyst for Algonquin Power and Utilities Corporation and a risk analyst of the Canadian Depository for Securities. Jon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Roanoke College and Master of Business Administration from Wilfred Laurier University. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor.
