The revised Admission Policy will take effect September 1, 2018 (as approved by the Senate in June 2018).
Notable changes to the Policy include:
- Introduction of Admission Principles
- Additions and updates to definitions
- Inclusion of an Indigenous Admission Policy/Procedure Statement
- Added right to rescind offers of admission or suspend applications due to any behaviour, breach, errors, or omissions that could be considered contrary to Sheridan policies
- Inclusion of an appeal process surrounding suspended applications/rescinded offers
- Admission appeal procedures which were embedded in the Admission Procedure have now been separated into a standalone procedure titled Admission Appeal Procedure
