Staffing Announcement – Manager of Finance and Business Operations in FAHCS

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Panarisi as the Manager of Finance and Business Operations, in the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies (FAHCS), effective Monday September 24, 2018.

The Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies welcomed applications for this position from across Canada, as well as internationally. The interview process consisted of two rounds of interviews with representation from our Faculty, a broad membership from across Sheridan College, as well as Human Resources. The interview committee is unanimous in their support and endorsement of Angela and her appointment.

Angela has been involved in educational programs (private and public enterprises) and fiscal management for the past 10 years. In her most recent role, Angela held the position of Senior Manager, Academic Services and Campus Systems at Seneca College, in the Faculty of Communication, Art and Design. As the Senior Manager, Angela was responsible for building the Faculty’s academic budget, overseeing the yearly/monthly management of the revenue and expenditures of the Faculty, as well as supporting strategic initiatives and operational functions. Previous to this position, Angela was the Learning Business Manager at Rogers Communications where she was accountable for the strategic planning of learning solutions that ensured continuous individual and organizational performance improvement. Additionally, in this role Angela led the development of the department’s budget, tracked and monitored financial statements and prepared regular financial status reports. Angela has also gained experience in understanding the student experience in post-secondary education, as the Assistant Manager of Learning Technology Services at York University.

As a committed life-long learner, Angela completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from York University. Since graduating, she has completed several certificates including The Business Analyst Course (Schulich School of Business), Project Planning Certificate, and Effective Communication and Development Certificate.
