You’re invited to join Cayuga Grandmother Renee Thomas-Hill from the Six Nations of the Grand River territory along with your community members in a traditional ceremony as we honour our Sisters in Spirit on Thursday, October 4.
6 p.m. – Ceremonial Walk from Holy Trinity School
2420 Sixth Line, Oakville, ON
(Please gather at the parking lot north of school)
Walk to Sheridan College Medicine Wheel Garden on Ceremonial Drive West between Parking Lots 1 and 1A, led by Mohawk Elder David Grey Eagle, the carrier of the 1817 Peace and Friendship Medal
7 p.m. – Ceremony begins at Sheridan Medicine Wheel Garden
Strawberry water and strawberries provided
8 p.m. – 8:30 pm – Community Gathering & Engagement
All are welcome to participate. The event will commence rain or shine. It is requested that women wear long/mid-length skirts. Red Attire can be worn by all but is not mandatory. Please see below for the event flyer.
